Do these devices whistle?
Any device that includes a speaker and microphone so close together will produce the "whistling" sound. However, you can minimize the whistling by following these steps:
- Choose a slightly bigger ear piece that fits in your entire ear.
- Put the hearing device on your ear first before turning it on.
- When you turn it on, start it at the lowest volume and slowly increase the volume as needed.
What if my HearGift device gets wet?

This is the second time that I have ordered and upgraded to the latest. Works great, invisible and better than the ones the doctor prescribed over the ear. I can hear clearly and the button works perfect for when noise gets too loud. Battery door is easy to open and close.
I tried behind the earaids at Costco and they were ok but pricey. I tried other behind the ear aids from TV or online but those were amplifiers which amplified everything BEHIND me but nothing in frotn of - like people talking! They also got really tangled in my longer hair and kept falling out of my ear.
These HearGift aids i really like even though they are loud and I cannot lower the volume on them (I have mild-to-moderate loss). But I like that almost No one can see them, Really like that they are in the ear and face FORWARD - and I can hear people better. Comfortable too.
Too loud for car noises and sirens and keys jingling but then - take them out! I keep them in my little change purse and keep the battery part open when not in use in order to save battery juice, and they last pretty long that way. I recommend them a lot!
